Under the bonnet, the 1.5 engine is a 3-cylinder petrol turbo which gives lively performance and is linked to a silky smooth six speed manual gearbox. In terms of how it steers and corners, even though it’s bigger than a normal Mini it still has that firm suspension and tight handling, so it feels more playful than most small SUVs. Inside, it’s quirky in a good way with a big circular infotainment display, toggle switches, ambient lighting so it really does look smart.
